The information on this cemetery is from the Pensacola Historical Society. According to their information, this Plantation was the home of William H. Chase, Capt., US Army Engineers who built Ft. Pickens and was located near Ft. Barrancas. In 1957, the burial plot was moved due to highway construction.  It is now in the Gulf Islands National Seashore on SR 399, six miles from the front gate of the Naval Air Station on the right side of the road.
